Customers and clients who use the services of a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) are assured of quality services and practices. An RTO must abide by the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).

The AQTF Standards for Registered Training Organisations is a set of 12 Standards which provides the basis for a nationally consistent, high quality vocational education and training system.

Registered Training Organisations must:

• comply with relevant state and commonwealth legislation;
• comply with policies and guidelines approved by the Training Accreditation Council;
• stay informed with what is happening in training at a state and national level
• undergo compliance audits;
• engage in ongoing professional development

• deliver nationally recognised qualifications and courses;
• issue qualifications and Statements of Attainment for nationally recognised training;
• use the nationally recognized logo on all qualifications and statements of attainment issued;
• be confident that the qualifications they issue are nationally recognised by all other Registered Training Organisations. This means that those who receive training can be confident the skills and knowledge they attain are of a high quality and will be accepted and valued nationwide. It allows for students from one RTO to enroll, transfer or complete their training at another.
